“That’s all the bullets we had, or we would have shot him more,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper.

Wow – a stationary target at close range and the police hit only 68 out of 110 times.  That seems pretty lousy marksmanship to me.  But I guess they were kind of excited – after all, they were getting to turn a cop-killer into a strainer.  But still, less than 62% accuracy?

  1. I think I thought “ambush”. Mostly because I like to think in shorter words. I fgiure that has to leave more room for really important things in my brain. This is of course why I don’t remember to send birthday cards, attend weddings or funerals and always forget to tip my mailman at Christmas.
