AT&T is moving some off-shored jobs back to the US – and outsourcing them to Union workers in Nevada – just another example of a large US Corporation that has realized you can outsource some things – but outsourcing your customer care is a mistake.
It’s great they realized this – but I wonder what their outsourcing experiment cost them (err – cost their customers, I mean)?
I know what it cost my last large Corporate employer.
AT&T Inc. is moving 650 previously outsourced customer-service jobs to Nevada to support AT&T’s Tier 1 Data Calling Center, which serves AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet subscribers who have basic questions about service or installation.
