Cane premiers tonight

I’m looking forward to this new show – I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

9 PM tonight (Central Time). Jimmy Smits has had some great roles, and I am hoping he makes this one of them.

Produced by ABC Studios and CBS Paramount Network Television, the series is currently scheduled to premiere on September 25, 2007, airing on Tuesday nights at 10:00/9:00c on CBS, following The Unit. The series will also air on Global and ITV3 in Canada and the United Kingdom respectively. The show will air on Warner Channel in South America.

This soapy drama tells the story of two multi-generational Latin American families, the Duques and the Samuels in the rum and sugar business. This series explores the rivalry between the two families as well as the power struggles within the individual families.

Cynthia Cidre wrote the pilot and will executive produce alongside Jonathan Prince, Polly Anthony, and Jimmy Iovine.

Comments

  1. @Deanna – it is a bit violent, but then so is real life :). I love the way they are building some of the characters though.

    Watch a few more episodes.

  2. I finally got a chance to watch this show – I think I might like it although – ALTHOUGH – it is a bit violent for my taste. The cast is pretty awesome though.
