Just in case any of you are looking for a cause to support – this is a good one. I’ve gotten two dogs from the Animal Defense League over the last 25+ years. They were good dogs, and all the animals here are cared for by great people who really care about what they are doing.
So if you have an extra few dollars – send them their way.
Chartered in 1934, the Animal Defense League is a non-profit humane society advocating the non-euthanasia of healthy animals, providing shelter and care for dogs and cats. We are committed to the welfare of animals, enhancing the quality of life for orphans by finding the best possible homes for them. In the past year, we have found homes for over 4,000 animals and our clinic performed over 7,000 surgeries.
We need your help to continue performing these types of services. The fund raising activities listed on this page are some ways we can help each other help the animals. By buying a T-shirt, donating your unneeded items to our Thrift Store, or simply by making a donation, you will be helping us do what we have been doing for over 70 years–operating a safe haven for those animals who have been injured or abandoned. Remember that your donations may be tax-deductible. The ADL is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
