I wish I could blame it on travel

But I can’t.  I’m not traveling (I rarely do).  But I am busy.  So I haven’t posted much lately (for me).

Yes, I’m still working on some product launches, and yes they are getting VERY close, and yes, I know I said that in August.

That’s the nature of the beast.  The stew is done when it tastes good or you are hungry enough that you don’t care how it tastes.  Right now we’re still adding some last minute seasoning and letting things simmer a bit while we iron out some issues (there are ALWAYS last minute issues).

But it’s very cool to see products and teams come together – even geographically diverse teams like we have.  My current projects have me working with people in New York, Portland, Jordan, Korea, Australia, Iraq, Minnesota, Texas, and India.  And I probably left a couple off.

So my body clock is totally out of whack – it has been for a long time.  At least a year.  You don’t need to travel to suffer jet-lag – just manage multiple development groups at the same time that are in time zones that are separated by 8-12 hours.  It will wear you down.

Of course I always threaten to post less, and then end up posting more right after I make that claim – maybe it’s just my way of getting re-engaged.  Who knows.  I am very complex πŸ™‚

So if I don’t post much for a while I am busy, and if I do post more I am still busy, but I have conned myself into posting more by posting that I will be posting less.

See – I am complex πŸ™‚
