A friend of mine is a recruiter for the US Army, here in San Antonio. She stopped by this morning and told me about a new short-term bonus the Army is offering – anyone who joins now and reports to basic training by 27AUG07 will receive an additional $20,000 USD sign-on bonus. That is on top of all the other incentives being offered (college money, etc).
You can’t have a criminal past, and you have to pass the physical and all – but still, for anyone that was considering signing up, this is a good time to do it.
Oh – this is also available to people with prior active duty Military service.
