@Chuck - your warning applies to ALL hosting services, not just MOSSO :) - I've had my poor experiences with most of them. Nothing is perfect - not even expensive dedicated servers.

Beware of Mosso. I was there for 6 months and they just couldnt keep their hardware working. All of my database sites were down for one whole weekend.

I dont care how much Mosso can save me if I lose a whole weekend hosting calls. It was a great idea, but you've got to be stable, and they weren't. And their database clusters were slow for me.

@Chaz - These are the details I like to hear. And fortunatly I am in a position to pick up the phone and talk to both Rackspace AND MOSSO about these issues. So I would love for anyone using MOSSO to contact me with issues they can't get resolved within the MOSSO support system (which is pretty amazing - 24/7 telephone support with Engineers and not script readers. Live online chat.

With my current host I NEVER talk to a developer, an engineer, or even anyone in my own country (1And1).

Seriously though - if someone has an issue with MOSSO that they cannot get resolved, contact me. I WILL help and MOSSO will be thankful that your brought it to their attention.

I've met these people. I know they are passionate.

I have some experience with them. I agree, very flexible, and a great price, but beware... Tech support issues sometimes get resolved rather leisurely. They all get solved... Eventually. But I've had tickets for seemingly simple things that have stayed open for 7-10 days.
