My Movie Database

I’ve used software for years to manage my movie database. I have 442 DVDs and HD-DVDs in my collection. They are each labeled and organized in numerical order. It’s very simple to add a movie to the database – type in the title and click “search”. The software looks up the details on the movie from a variety of online databases, downloads the description, actors, etc. It even downloads the cover art.

Currently I use Movie Collector Pro from Collectorz. It costs $39.95.

The software allows you to export to HTML, and there are a large number of templates available here, including an Ajax Template I built. You can see my movie list (using my Ajax Template) here.  An alphabetical list of the movies can be found here.
I’ve tagged this post as Reviews/Movies since I thought I would start writing very short reviews of the movies I purchase.

If you’ve ever wanted to catalog your movies, I suggest you try Movie Collector – there is a free trial available from their web site.

@scarng – I guess I never put it back up after I changed servers. I’ll try to do that in the next couple days.

Let me know if you have any questions about using the software (although it’s pretty straight forward).
