Proud Papa Post # 200003112

This was too big for me to scan, so I took 4 digital pictures and politely asked Microsoft Live Photo Gallery to stitch it together, which I think it did well.  Thanks, MS.

My daughter’s latest art project.

I am in awe that I had something to do with creating her.

I have no artistic talent at all.

But I am so very glad she does.

This is ink on paper.  About 2 feet x 3 feet in size.

I hope you enjoy it.

I love my daughter šŸ™‚

  1. from someone who has “lesser” artistic talent than you do, this is awesome šŸ™‚

  2. @Karoli – thanks mucho. I totally agree that seeing your kids do things you cannot is just freaking amazing.

Kinda makes me think I didn’t screw them up šŸ™‚

  3. It’s wonderful! She’s very talented. I love it when they have the opportunity to do things we can’t. Makes it all that much more rewarding. šŸ™‚

  4. @Stu – VERY cool! Encourage them! Buy lots of stuff for them to draw on, color, mold, and touch. I can’t think of a better legacy to have then fathering an artist (art brings me a lot of personal joy – I don’t buy it, I just enjoy it!)

  5. My eldest is only 7, and already three out of the four (little guy would rather throw a pen than use it) kids have more artistry in them than me :). It’s awesome. Writing stories, comics, drawing nintendo characters .. i’ve got Fry and Leela and Bender on the wall in my office!! Awesome.

  6. @Stu – thanks. She drew it for her mom’s house, which has a very Oriental theme to it (her mom isn’t Oriental though). So you picked right up on the style she was trying to follow!

  7. Rob,

Reminds me of the chinese paintings my folks have hanging at home (Grandparents were missionaries over there). The “water colors” or something? Anyway, great stuff!
