Sometimes, I wish I were younger – Halo 3 LAN Party!

My son has been preparing for two hours for a Halo 3 LAN party that starts at midnight tonight and lasts as long as they can stay awake (or until ~5PM tomorrow).

He washed al of the controllers (and marked them all so he could tell what was ours), he made sure he had plenty of fully recharged batteries and that he had everything he might need, to include extra Ethernet cables, an extra Ethernet hub, etc.

If my daughter gets home in time she will probably join them.  Yes, I’m fine with her being out all night with her brother.

Honestly, I wish I could go with them.  All my friends are too old for all-nighters or even video games.

Sometimes I do question if I am 46 or 24 – until I do some manual labor.  Then I am quickly reminded that I’m no kid, and that I couldn’t hang with them.

Not even for Halo 3 (which is awesome!)

  1. Sigh. Jealing Jealousy abounds πŸ™‚

Ask him to enjoy it, while he can πŸ˜€

  2. How quickly teenagers change their plans!

All of a sudden I have a half dozen teenagers in my house – the LAN Party moved.

I’m fine with that. I know where my kids are, and I know they’ll be safe and have fun. And so will their friends.

And that’s exactly why I have two XBOX 360’s and two copies of Halo 3.

I know where my kids are. So I can sleep πŸ˜›
